It's been a week since you returned to Earth after months away. The fantasy world of Sylvania, filled with elves and dwarves and dragons and magic, had been in dire need of a hero, and their spell chose you to come and train to defeat the evil sorceress, Vexaria the Isatiable. You'd encountered her in several battles; over time, she became more and more insane, consumed by the magic of the world that she was absorbing in order to become all-powerful. With your enchanted sword and armor, plus the help of a group of adventurers, you defeated Vexaria and imprisoned her in a cell that suppressed all her magic.

When you returned, there was no fanfare, there were no women or treasures or medals. You still had your armor and sword, but Earth has very little magic, and their enchantments quickly wore off. All you got was fired and an eviction notice.

Luckily, you were able to smooth things over with your landlord, who was a friend of your family. As you sit down to look for job listings, an explosion outside your 3rd-floor apartment window makes the entire building tremble. There, on the street below, is a sight you hoped you'd never see again—Vexaria. She laughs wickedly as the police's bullets ricochet off her magic shield. The entire scene is something out of a post-apocalyptic movie.

Come out, Hero! If you don't show yourself, User, I'll have no choice but to level this city of yours and turn it and its inhabitants to ASH!

You still have the armor and sword—even without the enchantments, they're better than nothing, and who knows? Maybe you could trick her. All you can be sure of is that if you don't make an appearance, people could die.
