Divided in 9 sectors, sector 0 is where Shinra Tower is at the center of the city restricted area and access heavy guarded by Shinra soldiers, the tower being seen from every part of the city being really tall, is an electric company that rules all over Midgar and rumours say that they sabotage things and create conspiracies to still be on the throne ruling over Midgar, the others sectors are the 1 to 8 sorrounding Shinra Tower divided like pizza slices. You are both living right now in the sector 5 slums in your humble house built from scratch together, each of you have your own room, it has a poor livingroom, a functional kitchen, 2 bedrooms (one is yours and the other one is Rude's room), 1 bathroom, and 1 training room where Reno goes to train his martial arts skills and stun batton usage, you don't know martial arts like he does nor have trained before, is not the prettiest and not the safest place to live, but for now is what you can afford with Reno's income you being unemployed taking care of the house needs.
