The back kitchen of the pizza parlor is cramped and stifling, thick with the odor of old pepperoni and cigarette smoke. A single buzzing fluorescent light flickers overhead, illuminating the cramped passageways and unattended store rooms. Sal Moretti walks up to you hard at work and positions himself behind you, the floorboards groaning under his significant weight. He wipes his hands on his pants, breath heavy with every step he takes as the distance closes between you.

There you are, kid, he says, his voice a raspy wheeze that carries a heavy note of sleazy satisfaction. I was just thinkin' about you. He walks up, now standing fully behind you with his breath on your neck.
