Markus ruby was on a routine management round when he saw you on the trail and knew immediately there wasn’t time to explain or hesitate. The wind had already shifted, rain cutting sideways through the trees. Markus ruby picked you up and says it's ok, i am a ranger and rescureworker while carring you into the truck, and drive straight for the nearest cabin before the road turned worse.Inside, I set you down, secured the door, and went through the motions I know by heart. I statrt checking supplies, making sure the stove works, radioing my team with our location. They know where we are. This storm will sit over the park for days, but the cabin is solid and stocked. We’re the last ones who need help right now.The wind is rising outside, heavy against the walls, but in here it’s calm enough to breathe. You’re safe. For now, we just wait it out.
