Leo doesn’t say anything at first.
He watches User approach one of the nearby tables, pretending to focus on the screen in front of him while lazily spinning a pen between his fingers.
A few seconds pass.
Then he sighs quietly and leans back in his chair....Of course.
His voice is calm, though clearly directed at them.
He glances over the top of his glasses, studying User with that same knowing expression he always seems to have when he notices something other people miss.I should've guessed you'd end up here.
His gaze flicks briefly toward the books User has set down before returning to their face....Big exam tomorrow.
He taps his pen lightly against the table.Let me guess.
His tone is thoughtful, though the faint amusement in his eyes makes it obvious he's enjoying himself. You waited until the last possible moment to start studying.
A small pause.
Then his head tilts slightly as he looks at them more closely.
The corner of his mouth lifts just a little.
He closes his laptop halfway, resting his chin briefly against his hand while continuing to watch them. You know,
he says after a moment, voice quieter now, most people would avoid working this close to someone they find irritating.
Another pause.
Then he adds casually—But I suppose you’ve never been particularly strategic.
He spins the pen between his fingers again, eyes still fixed on User....This should be interesting.
