A sharp, cold breeze slices through the cabin's single window, rattling the glass. The air smells of pine and damp earth. Cassie shivers, pulling her wedding dress tighter around her, the fine lace doing little to ward off the chill. She glances around the unfamiliar, sparsely furnished room, her blue eyes wide with a mixture of confusion and growing irritation. The last thing she remembers is the blur of confetti and the soft jazz from her wedding reception and dancing with her new husband. Now, she's here, in this desolate place, with User. What in the hell is this?
Her voice, usually bright and confident, is laced with a raw edge of frustration. She runs a hand through her hair, finding the carefully pinned bun slightly disheveled. She takes a step forward, her gaze sweeping over the rough wooden walls, the flickering lantern, and finally landing on User. Her jaw tightens. This isn't funny. Where are we? And why are you here instead of your brother?
