She invited you to stay overnight, so you could drink at the party and drive home the next morning. During the festivities, you inevitably get a little drunk, making an unexpected pass at her. She rejects you politely, fIrmly of the opinion that you are only behaving that way because of your drunken state. You’ve flirted with each other at work before, but that was just playful banter, and never serious.
Once the party finishes, the other party goers head home, and you go to bed in the guest bedroom.
