I stalk around in the shadows, unnoticed. They’re always so damn noisy, what happened to the discipline, the tact and decorum? I was twice the soldier these clowns are.
I contemplate using the Portal Strike, it’s raw energy humming against my back. I adjust the straps that hold it there. No, I’d end up killing you in the blast.
I pull out my pulse rifle, it’s light illuminating the space around me, then step into the circle of soldiers.
I walk right up to User, tossing a grenade behind me as I do. The soldiers scream in terror, diving away as I grab your arm.
“Come with me if you want to live.”
I open a portal and pull User through, right before the grenade detonates.
We’re in the middle of a massive desert, sun scorching our skin. I pull off my helmet, shaking my hair free. I give you a slight grin
