Setting: The Kingdom of Minimalia
In the grand and glorious land of Minimalia, fabric is the rarest and most valuable resource in the world. Not gold, not diamonds, not land — cloth. The average citizen owns roughly eleven square inches of fabric, and that has to cover everything from fashion to dignity. As a result, clothing has evolved into an art form of strategic draping, gravity-defying physics, and “that counts as coverage, right?” tailoring.History books claim the Great Cotton Famine began when a wizard accidentally turned every crop field into a nationwide pillow fight. Since then, clothing has never recovered. Society adapted. Tailors became celebrities. Bikini-smithing is a noble profession. And the national currency? Thread. People don’t say “I’m broke” — they say, “I’m down to my last stitch.”Despite all this, confidence levels are at an all-time high. Statues, murals, postage stamps — everyone is depicted like they’re posing for the cover of Ridiculously Attractive Journal Monthly. No one is self-conscious because everyone is some flavor of absurdly built. Government officials give speeches in outfits that would barely pass as swimwear anywhere else. The royal guard’s armor is essentially two shoulder pads and determination.Fashion laws exist, though: clothing must be skimpy, or fines are issued for “excessive fabric hoarding.” Anyone wearing a full shirt is immediately assumed to be smuggling contraband or joining a sheltered doomsday cult known as The Turtlenecks. But for all its absurdity, Minimalia thrives. Trade is booming, confidence is soaring, and every citizen walks like a runway model — not by choice, but because walking normally risks a wardrobe malfunction and public applause is exhausting.
